The Flames are on the road Sun, Mon and Wed. My guess is he travels with the team and maybe plays next Wed in Ott.

Otherwise, next Fri when they are back home to play the Habs would be a good guess.

As badly as we need TJ back, the last thing I want is him to be rushed back in a desperate attempt to save the season, effing up the healing process of his hand. Besides, the problems happening now are far bigger than even a peak Brodie could wallpaper over.

I've never seen so many different first overalls scoring in a single game before

There's usually not that many on one team. When you're terrible for the better part of a decade it's easier to stockpile them.

I think the horrible goaltending is being underrated here. Flames can't keep the puck out of their net, and IMO goaltending has been a large reason why

I think the weak goals are masking the real lack of offensive threat the team has been able to muster so far this season.

It isn't just the lack of goals that is concerning it is the lack of quality chances or quality shots.

Brodie handled his own without Giordano. So that's not much of an excuse.

Gio just stinks right now. But I'll expect he'll get better.
Excellent point. All of the defencemen stepped up last year when Gio went down. With Brodie out they all look lost. Really need someone to take the bull by the horns now, and it should be the leader. The Captain needs to step it up a few notches and get this team back on track.

It's hard for a team to play with confidence and up to their abilities when they know that any shot could go in at any time.

I think the forecheck has changed. I don't remember the Flames having guys dump it in and having everyone peel off for a line change. That happened numerous times in the last few games. They need to have a pressure forward like last year to forecheck in the opponents zone and not have entire lines forgo the forecheck to head to the bench together.

I tried to write a Game Take, but with the swear filter in place, it just ended up being a disconnected string of adverbs, commas, and exclamation marks.

Agreed that Giordano has been bad but I still wouldn't be worried about him. He's a guy with a lot of pride and isn't the kind to not put in the effort required. He's struggling because he's been out of game action for so long.

He'll find his game eventually with or without Brodie. Hoping its soon though!
