The BJ Defense was a hot mess at times...McIlhenny made some AMAZING stops, but, he was hung out to dry, over and over...
I expect that Todd Richards will be the first coaching casualty of the season...and I expect repercussions on his stapling Dubinsky's butt to the bench after Dubinsky took an unnecessary unsportsmanlike penalty to hand the 'Hawks a 5 on 3 PP...Hossa with an amazing backcheck steal and goal on a 2 on 1 break (the kid that coughed up the puck to Hoss also found his backside stapled, next to Dubinsky, for the rest of the game)...the Hossa goal, essentially, put the game out of the BJ's reach...Dubisnky was visibly upset (bashing his stick on the boards) at the final Buzzer.
The BJ's were unlucky as well...a defensive effort by Prout, ends up deflecting TT's pass into the net, on the goal that made it 2-0 (also a PP goal for the 'Hawks)...Anisimov scored the opening goal after an inexcusable line change left McIlhenny to deal with a 4 on 2 rush...just not good team hockey.
Johnson scored through a Saad Screen to make it 3-1, but, Panarin and Kane were able to advance for an ENG by Kane.
4-1 final...BJ's still winless.
