Not sure where to post this, but Corsi is not helpful so far this season. Top 10 teams at 5v5 Corsi For% are a combined -7 and the bottom 10 are a combined +12. The top 3 teams by CF% are -11 and bottom 3 are +10.
Sample sizes and all that, but interesting nonetheless.

That is interesting. The abilty to finish and create good quality chances doesn't really get factored into corsi i guess.
Edit: as well as good goaltending.

Yup, seems he can't make his presence felt against decent teams. Which is too bad, kid showed all sorts of promise.

I can't put my finger on what exactly the problem is. I feel like if you put Baertschi's head on Yakupov's body you'd have a player

Baertschi is strange. You see his vision and even this game, he's made a couple nice passes that many players can't pull off. He has improved his game along the boards and fights for the puck, but then the majority of the time in the game, he's just very meh.

That Frankenstein would still be a flawed player, but better than Baertschi on his own.
Sven is just so ineffective in any situation. I wonder if he watches players like Johnny or Kane and thinks to himself "oh those guys make it look so easy. I'll just do what they do and dilly dally with the puck and look sweet". Instead of looking at guys like Jooris who worked his bum off to get to the NHL.

And conversely, Yakupov's motor goes at 15000 RPM without doing anything useful

But not a while bunch of teams. Inevitably there'll be free negative goal differential teams in the top and positive on the bottom. But as a group it won't be the same as now

How do penalties work in 3 v 3? If you blatantly hook or trip a guy but he's not on a breakaway?

Then you get a penalty, and play 4-on-3 PP.

Off to a SO, best case for 2 divisional opponents in OT I suppose as the winner won't get a ROW.
