Also, he looks to have good weight behind his shot which we need more of from the point.

There's no bias, no conspiracy here. They get equal love and only the bias on here makes it seem otherwise

Have you ever watched a Mike Johnston broadcast? It's the definition of insufferable. You can hear him groaning whenever the Canucks take a penalty. He even said "Oooohh no" one time last night..
Every time the Flames manhandle the Canucks, he says it's because the Canucks aren't playing their game. It's always something the Canucks are doing wrong, not that the Flames are doing right. It's miraculous anytime he gives the Flames a compliment.

With how good Kulak has been for his entire career, and how good Tyler Fricken' Wotherspoon was at the end of the 13-14 season, we should trade Hamilton and Brodie!!
EDIT: Dammit Romanuk, you're contagious.

I can't disagree there. As fair as Canucks complaining about Hrudey's coverage. No wide ranging problem.
And Healy isn't anti Flames do much as he's an everyone but establishment hating know nothing

Yeah he really got on my nerves last night. There was one play where Bouma makes a strong stick play on McCann to stop him from receiving a pass as he's streaking towards our net. He falls over hilariously. They replay the clip over and over to Johnson gushing about how McCann outskated the Flames, beat the Flame to the puck and this is how they have to play. Guy is delusional

Fans of every team complain about the broadcast having a bias against their team. The complaining is insufferable and almost always exaggerated

I find the constant complaints about announcer bias funny. Maybe it's because I'm a Finn and not Canadian, but mostly I find the level of bias very small or non-existent.
I also for the life of me can't understand why people care so much? It's literally the least relevant part of a hockey game.
Do people really constantly need someone to make them feel good about what's going on?

It doesn't help that Mike Johnson has the most puncheable face I've ever seen to go along with his cocky demeanor. Makes me just want to hate him and everything he does.

Would love to see them try
Gio-Brodie
Kulak-Hamilton
Russell-Wideman
2 proven pairings, and giving Hamilton an opportunity to build a relationship with a promising guy.

Engelland and Kulak work extremely well together.

Engelland needs to play with someone who can cover his mistakes. Kulak works well for that. I'd like to see Kulak - Wideman for the same reason though.

Hockey is visual. The commentators don't tell us much we don't already know and see. Why is it so vital to enjoying the game?

I don't think it's a good idea to make a pairing out of our two least experienced defensemen by far (Kulak and Hamilton).

Kulak will never see the AHL again unless he completely falls apart

Experience is certainly a great asset, but not everything. Kulak-Engelland is almost certainly a worse pairing than Kulak-Hamilton. Hamilton also has plenty of experience in the league so far. I agree that those two are young, but we also have two relatively inexperienced players on our top line.

True, but they also have Hudler, and experience is much more important for defensemen.
(Plus I think both Gaudreau and Monahan are somewhat special cases, one being uniquely gifted and the other almost freakishly veteran-like.)

Looks good to me. I roll those pairings, ~20 mins each. I play Engelland as the 7th D when playing teams like the Ducks.
