My ENT surgeon walked me through what we called the "facelift for the throat" where he removed and tighten up all the loose tissues. He's had patients say "Doc you said that would hurt, but it REALLY @#$@#$ hurt". Described it as a 11/10 on the pain scale.
Combine that with no promises of fixing the snoring - I decided against it and went CPAP.
