Actually Canada is a native word meaning village though right? Don't know which language/tribe/nation specifically. Still, they didn't call the land, or the concept of a nation, Canada.

I've had a Kobo for a few years, like it a lot especially for travelling. And most of them can be used to borrow e-books from the Calgary Library, so it appeals to the cheapskate in me. My hold on Ready Player One should be available this week, and it's looking like I'll be up for The Martian at the same time. That is one drawback with borrowing, long waits for popular books then you have 3 weeks to power through them.

Great for reading in bed with the backlight, less disturbing the wife than leaving a lamp on. For chilling on the couch by the fire, I still like to have a real book around.

Seems to be lots of interest in Ready Player One .

Let's read, then discuss after Oct. 15th . . .
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ready_Player_One
Ready Player One is a 2011 science fiction and dystopian novel by Ernest Cline. In 2012, the book received an Alex Award from the Young Adult Library Services Association division of the American Library Association[1] and won the 2012 Prometheus Award.[2] The book was published by Random House on August 16, 2011.[3] The audiobook is narrated by Wil Wheaton.

Soon to be a movie by Spielberg.

Recommend especially if you are a child of the 1980s- packed with pop culture references - music, TV, movies, RPGs, video and computer games. The 1980s nerd in me loved many sections of this book.

Anyone else find it ridiculous that wait lists exist for e-books?

Never heard of it but did a quick search for a synopsis. I love dystopian novels. I'm in.
