So they only ran the simulation once? That doesn't really tell us much, I can do the same thing when I get my copy of NHL 16 tomorrow and it will have completely different results.

The article was nothing more than off season click bait that suckered me in by mentioning video games and Stanley Cup predictions. Jared Clinton's position at THN does not make his simulation results any more relevant than the average person's results simming a season.
Now if someone had run the simulation 1000 times I would be interested in reading about that.
