My favorite puzzle is the self-referential aptitude test. And yes, I got the same answer.

Took me about 20 minutes and 2 pieces of paper. first I tried the straight down approach and gave up with too many crossing arrows then I went with left to right blocks with eliminations. checked with spoilers answers and got it right.
Hats off to anyone who can do this in their head, would be very very impressive.

Yup, we used to do puzzles like this in Ed Plus in elementary all the time, they were my favorite. The grids were premade in the books/worksheets we used but that's really the key. Just make a grid. You start with a certainty, like clue 3, 'The Dane drinks tea' and use that and logic an elimination to fill in more and more information around that.
The puzzles obviously get more difficult the more variables you put in and the number and types of clues you put in. When we first started them in grade 1, it would often be a group of four with two variables, where this one is five and five.
EDIT: Oops, this was supposed to quote annasuave, hence the 'yup' starting the post.

pfft I bet all you 99%er sat up half the night solving this. I merely went to my accounting department and said solve this or I'll have you fired and have your children killed.
Its obvious that the answer is Mr Mustard in the conservatory with a candlestick.

Didn't bother solving this. But I doubt it's that hard. I used to have a full book of puzzles like this as a kid, and would solve them using a grid. I could probably dig up that puzzle book still and show the solutions of the genius that was 10-year-old me

Was drunk at the time of posting. Using the spelling though as Tho is actually an acceptable variant when writing informally.
