I live in Airdrie - will keep my eyes open for sure. Is Arlo friendly with other dogs? We can take ours out with us and see if that helps attract Arlo...

For some reason this strikes me as something bad may have happened at the borders and the lost dog is an excuse

Not trying to throw a negative spin but ensure you grill and investigate how they 'lost' a dog and took this long to report/know.

What the hell are you even talking about? Owners went away, dog was boarded IN Airdrie. Dog got loose and lost by the company doing the boarding.

He's saying the boarding facilitators may not be telling the whole story.

I mistook his spelling of boarders (he used borders) and thought he was talking about the dog being at the border. My bad and my apologies for the misunderstanding.

And, depending on the boarding company, that's a good possibility. There are a couple of sketchy ones here.

Situations like this one make me never want to go on vacation.

I've seen a ton of "lost dog" notices for Arlo though, so hopefully all the eyes out there will help her get home safely.

Paul, please check your PMs. Ran across something posted on a group - it might well be a huge long shot/outside chance but you never know. Sending you a screenshot.

She is super friendly, but I suspect she's extraordinarily scared. If she's still with us, she probably won't come bounding up to anybody.

i thought that perhaps that arlo had returned home.

i shudder to think of how a "professional" boarder would go about reimbursing a cleint for a lost dog
