Jays have never had a dominant catcher.

Voted Borders, but only because JP Arencibia wasn't an option.

I remember a game down the I5 in Seattle. The Mariners were up 10-0, but the Blue Jays came back to win it 11-10, capped by a home run off the bat of Ernie Whitt. I think it was a grand salami, too!

Whitt was a beauty.

Greg Zaun takes the sharpest dressed category.

Big fan of Whitt but I love me some Borders. He was/is one of my all time favorites. He'd be all dirty with that wad of chew in his mouth.

He's coaching somewhere now.

Closing it down.
Ernie Whitt is your starter, backed up by Pat Borders.

Too late to vote for Buck. Really the catchers are all pretty weak, so I vote Buck because of A) the broken leg dp, B) he was a (lousy) manger, C) his work as an analyst D) his work as pbp guy. He also loves the Jays. Ernie Whitt is a good pick though and Pat Borders is a career back up so it is a good tandem.

Once again, the current catcher is the most talented catcher the Jays have ever had. I would have voted Martin 1, Whitt 2

People can choose to answers as they wish, but I wouldn't vote on the basis of "most talented'. For me tenure has to be a part of the equation.

Too late for the poll...but Buck did it all.
Commentator, manager, color commentator, and catcher...credited with 2 put outs, 1 with a broken leg against the M's in the Kingdome.
