Best Active players by number
Must say that 91 was the toughest one.

Ya it was tough deciding between O'Brien and Musil.

I would change
#19 Trottier
#16 Clarke
Fully understand the choices made but I would take these two any day of the week

Sweater #9 would been the most difficult choice when you consider who wore that number. A case could be made of any of the three players,

Some changes I would make.....
#22 Brad Park. He was a Runner up in Norris Trophy voting in 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1976 and 1978. Would have won all those years except he was competing against Bobby Orr.

Yeah but... over Mike Bossy? The best goals per game player in NHL history?

He's fittingly a runner up for #22 as well.

I would have chosen Bobby Clarke for 16 as well.
9 has some beauties, but Howe is still a cut above the other two (even though they are probably both in the top 10-15 forwards of all time).
19 is the craziest IMO. But I would still go with Yzerman - him or Sakic, I could live with either.

Yeah 19 is still Stevie Y. And no, Bossy keeps 22. That's fine. I was trying to remember, didn't Bure wear 96 for a while? Not sure what their standard is for how long you have to wear the number to qualify.

Trottier was great, but #19 is easily Yzerman. And if it wasn't, I'd still take Sakic over Trottier.

I would put Trottier 4th, behind Robinson.

Great to see two members of the "Young Guns" on that list. A very under-rated era of Flames hockey!
