Like last night, Hickey not getting a lot of PP time.

Don't know if Lowry really knows how good Hickey's one timer is.

Haven't been able to watch the 2nd as close as I would like (distracted by RL)

But Hickey played a 2 on 1 by the Russians well earlier in the 2nd. Allowed Montembeault to make the save.

Canada will have a 5 on 3 for 1:35. 4:33 left in the 2nd.

Russia kills the 5 on 3. Some really good puck movement, but no finish.

Hickey does not see a second of that PP.

Teams are at even strength

Konecny draws some oohs and aws as he puts puck between his legs to go around a Russian defender. Couldn't get a good shot off.

Hickey with a Brodie-esque puck rush, but gets it poke checked off his stick in the offensive zone.

Hickey has been the most complete defenseman in this game. Everything has been under control.

Pretty sure Hickey's ice time in the 3rd is getting reduced. Barely see him on the ice.

Solid shift in the defenisve zone by Hickey there.

Leads to a Debrusk partial breakaway.

Lowry seems to think/or plans to use Hickey as a defensive specialist.

Doesn't get PP time rarely gets offensive zone faceoffs. Gets PK time and on the ice for a good chunk of defensive faceoffs.

More about getting a feel for what guys can do. Not sure you can draw much from ice time

Overtime.

Hickey was on the ice for the last shift of the game.

5 minutes of 4 on 4.

All the D have played with each other - I think they're just rolling lines, I wouldn't read much into it. I don't think Lowry is playing matchups.

There's a lot of room out there when it's 4-on-4 on international ice.

Hickey was deep on a pinch and no one for covered him leading to a breakaway. Montembeault made a nice save.

Guryanov gets a breakaway after Ho-Sang coughs up the puck at the blue line. Montembeault makes the save.
