If you put a letter n before or after the g in "siging", we'd all get it! It's funny!

Maybe, I thinking about the season's tickets delivery a few years ago.

Won't be upset of Ferland doesn't get signed. I feel the guy may be over valuing himself and exactly what his role will be. Gaudreau, Monahan, Bennett, Hamilton are the nucleus of the team. Ferland isn't getting a dime of money that could lead to any grief in signing any of the mentioned.

Based on what?
He's an RFA and needs a new contract. That doesn't make him the enemy

I doubt any kind of difference between the numbers Ferland and Treliving are looking at (if there even is a difference) have any bearing on "grief" in signing the four guys you mentioned.
BTW, we are all excited about Hamilton, but he hasn't played a game here yet, so while he maybe will be a nucleus player, let's not get ahead of ourselves. And Brodie says "hi".

It's only July. I seem to remember it took a while for Bouma to be signed last off-season. If it gets to September without a deal I will start to worry about a big difference of opinion on his value. I expect a 900k 1 year deal to be signed in the next week or two.

According to Ancient Alien theoriest Giorgio Tsoukalos the clue is in his name, "Ferland is short for fertile land. I believe it is quite possible that once he is done trying to repopulate the earth, to create a whole new world order if you will (aka the Sutter experiment), he will return and be a force unlike we have ever seen".

Not sure what you mean re: Hamilton. He was absolutely signed to be part of the teams nucleus. Based on what we gave up and the contract he signed, I will be very disappointed if he is not. Right now he is the teams highest paid player.

Actually it's Dutch for "far land".
Edit: "Ferland Name MeaningOf French origin: possibly an Americanized spelling of Ferlin, from a term denoting a small weight, perhaps applied as a nickname for a slight person or a metonymic occupational name for someone whose work involved the making or use of weights."

Is there certain criteria where a RFA will or will not have arbitration rights? How come Jooris, Byron, and Bouma went for arbitration but Ferland did not?

Yes. He signed his contract at the age of 19, so that means he has to have 4 years of professional experience in order to qualify for arbitration. Ferland has 3 years of pro experience, so he isn't eligible.
