I almost got the Sven jersey... But, opted for the Glencross

I'm hoping Frolik gets #20

Next I hope a future stud D-man like Hickey or Andersson or Kylington to get #3, then I can put my freaking Phaneuf jersey to use...

it was a great trade, no question...

but Boston had some curious choices with those picks too...

prior to the trade I was hoping beyond reason that Connor or Barzal would fall to 15 - shocked that they were both available, and that boston passed! Zboril sounds like he was a good choice

Default Frolik and Hamilton to be introduced Friday 10AM

Do they usually do this? I recall Engelland, Bollig etc not being introduced last year.

They do if it's warranted. Not to diminish the contributions of Engelland and Bollig but Hamilton and Frolik are big additions and I think fans/media are more excited for a media availability with them.

Last time I remember something like this was when the Flames introduced a newly acquired Jay Bouwmeesteer to much holler and hoopla. If only we knew then what we know now, about his public speaking and butter soft approach to the game of hockey...

That being said, Hamilton sounds eerily similar to Bouwmeesteer on the mic, but at least we know he can bring it on the ice where it counts.

Ummm...

Those two aren't as high profile as Hamilton and Frolik.

Treliving didn't let 50 some goals just leave as UFAs though. He also has Hartley freash off a Jack Adams compared to having Brent.

Last time they did was back when they signed Corban Knight, iirc. They had him, David Jones and... Maybe Shane O Brien? I can't recall for certain if that's who it was...

Yep, those were the guys. SOB, Knight, Jones. Fuzzy memory here and I am not certain if there was another. Yes there was! #39 T.J Galliardi.

LOL Maybe we should have a thread especially for bad jersey choice confessions! All of mine are blank. You know, logo on the front vs name on the back and all that.

I'm hoping the media has clued in by now that Hamilton doesn't feel comfortable talking about the situation in Boston and wants to brush the matter under the carpet. I cringed every time during the conference call when it was asked repeatedly while phrased differently each time.

I think the accents made it obvious what city those questions were coming from.

Default Frolik and Hamilton to be introduced Friday 10AM

Just watched one of his interview from the beginning of the season with Boston

http://youtu.be/l97CbZNGMh8

@2:40

- I wish there were more of us (more young players on Boston) only a few single guys, first time living alone.

He'll be a great for the flames, many young guys and it seems like the young guys like to roommate together. Bouma & Monahan, then Jooris & Gaudreau. Also if I recall Bennett said Stajan invited him for a dinner at his house when he first came to Calgary. What a great team to be on. Do we see a Brodie & Hamilton bromance one day?

Thanks for posting that. So many awkward moments in that interview. Im glad we have Kristen. We really do have class in all areas right now. Proud to be a fan.
