Unlikely for them to get $7 million on their next contract. Maybe if it's 8 years you see that but If Treliving got Hamilton under $6 million I don't see Monahan or Gaudreau getting more than $6 million.

I think 7 would be the ceiling if both had really good years. 70+ points. I'm really hoping we can lock them up around 6. Anything lower and I'm ecstatic.

Their contracts will take up mostly RFA years, I bet they get less than 7 each on a long term deal.

But they are not UFA's during that time frame.
If you think Monahan and Gaudreau are going to sign 4 year deals, maybe. But I highly doubt that. Both sides will likely be looking to add some UFA years in there on a 7-8 year deal.

If Monahan and Gaudreau even have a "slightly" better season they are getting at least $6m long term. Nyquist is 26 soon, he's starting his prime years now, good player but not Monahan and Gaudreau good.

Default Detroit re-signs Nyquist (4 yrs, $19 million)

Wow didnt realize he was almost 26. Detroit sure does like to let em simmer for a while

The other day i dreamed that Johnny&Money signed 6.25x8s.. It was glorious. Gio was 4x7 btw and Bennett was an absolute dynamo who signed a 3x4mm AAV bridge but likely looking for 12m+ on the next one.. Yeeeaaaaa
