Mostly, I suspect, because for so many years, Saskatchewan was a good place to leave. If you came from Saskatchewan, like any emigrant you have times when you want to wallow in nostalgia for the Old Country. There's not much in Saskatchewan to be nostalgic about, except Canada's answer to the Green Bay Packers.
