Yup, I think they beat Anaheim at their home and we finish in the top 3 in our division.

I like the prediction about Raymond being traded, but I think it will be for some sort of package deal.

I think Bennett will be a calder finalist and Gio wins the norris this year.

Drew Shore puts up 45 points and becomes a second line staple alongside Backlund and Frolik, which ends up being the shut down line

- Gaudreau is top 10 in league scoring. At various point throughout the season, he's challenging for the Art Ross.

- One of the Flames' D will earn a Norris nomination (providing they stay healthy).

- Flames challenge for the division

- Edmonton is a better team then last season, but the Flames still sweep the season series

TJ Brodie scores 65 points.

And loses the Norris to Mark Giordano who scores 66.

Bennett wins Calder

We actually win a game in Anaheim

We squeak into the playoffs (7th or 8th) but still make the conference final.

This is a "crazy prediction" thread, not a "what's definitely going to happen this season" thread.

Connor McDavid demands a trade to the Flames before the season starts, Flames trade back Smid for McDavid.

With better overall team possession stats, the Flames goalies tell Lance Bouma and Kris Russell to at least let a couple of shots get through to the net so they can stay in the game!

I also think Shore takes a big step and outperforms Colborne

- Nakladal starts out great, then struggles. Somehow maintains a spot.
- Our def corps "goes down to injury", plenty of room for kids to get their cup of coffee. Even with this, "somehow" our def corps is one of the healthiest in the playoffs. (Not playing through as many ailments)
- Bennett and JG injured approx same time. But not gone for more than a week or two.
- Hiller plays a game in his sexy retro gear.
- Backlund one of the healthiest players this year
- Paul Byron goes "nuts" solidifies himself a winger position on second or third line.
- Win a game in Anaheim (FFS PLEASE!)
- Treliving overhauls Stockton Heat and Addy Thunder
- Rafikov comes to NA early.

Giordano's contract talks lag into the season and become a big distraction. He is traded at the deadline for picks with the Flames well behind 3 teams for the final playoff spot. A valiant effort but we come up short and end up with a top 10 draft pick.
