Under $4 million now? He's taking less for one more year than what Anaheim offered?

Didn't the Ducks offer him 4 x $4?

Weird that he didn't stay.

Must have heard it wrong on TSN. wasn't really paying attention.

Wonder if the offers dried up further along in the day.

Leave a way better team with way better line mates in a way better city for less money. Way to hold out.

To start the day MacKenzie was saying 5M or higher, now it's 4M or less? He definitely didn't get the offers he was expecting, or overplayed his hand.

TSN says 5 years, $19 million.

Nowhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be but I still wouldn't want him at that number.

5 x 3.8 is not that bad, thought it'd be way worse. MUCH rather have Frolik at 4.3 though.

Not an awful deal but I'd still rather have Frolik. He's the more proven, complete player.

Kind of surprising considering that Ana is a legitimate cup threat in the near future. Bos isn't even a legitimate playoff threat.

Not sure how it's possible but Boston and Matt Beleksey are both losers in the Matt Beleskey sweepstakes.

Ducks let Belesky walk and essentially swapped out Beauchemin for Bieksa.

They are a worse team today. And the Flames have closed the gap somewhat.

Count me as another who can't understand why he'd leave a powerhouse like Anaheim to go to Boston. Maybe there's stuff behind the scenes, but on the surface I don't get it.

Not bad. Must have been looking for the 5 x 5 towards the beginning of the day, only to realize that no team was going to offer him that.

So is Boston rebuilding or chasing the dream? I'm confused.
