Sounds very happy to be picked by the Flames, I'd imagine for someone in his position it would be nice to be picked by a city you're already familiar with.

Asked 960 for no hard questions in english.
says he knew (?) that he'd be drafted by Calgary
Loves the city (it is "awesome")
has great Canadian friends. Has great Canadian family
Thinks being picked by Calgary is best that could have happened to him. Same city
New Language: Teammates, everyone help me. Have little bit problem with language. Right now I feel a little bit better. Canadian family always help me.
Right now I was in Belarus and had english teacher
Going to go to Calgary after draft to get ready for season
I think I play super aggressive. I play so hard. Same time I play playmaker
Right now I play powerplay
His family: For me it is best family in world. Last season my mom and my dad came to Calgary to see me. Next season they come again.
Extremely excited and you could tell the enthusiasm and appreciation of being drafted.
Just from that interview the questions he could answer in English were spontaneous, confident, and well said. The ones where he struggled for the words, he seemed to lack confidence. I think off ice development will be very important for him next year.

Either Kylington is shorter than the 6'0" that he's listed at, or Karnaukhov is taller than the 6'2" that he's listed at.

Turn up the volume, Ryan Leslie got bored and decided this interview needed to take place in a library apparently.

From the USA Today online Q&A session with Kyle Woodlief: http://sportswire.usatoday.com/2015/...d-jack-eichel/
Q: Seeing a wide spread of opinions on Pavel Karnaukhov. Why is that and what is yours?
A: The wide spread of opinions is because so far, he has been more about tremendous physical tools than production. He tends to be really streaky and inconsistent. When he's on, he can be dominant. When his effort level goes away, he can be invisible.

The Russian Glencross. You could do a lot worse at 136 overall.

I have hopes for this guy. Barely spoke the language + consistency issues + "just starting to scratch the surface" (Loubardias) + pretty stacked team and he still scored 20 goals in his first season? Sign me up. Hope he puts up big numbers next year.
