With Hamilton I speculated Flames might go with some high risk projects. Looks like they did.

Top 10 for sure. Like the first defenceman after Hanifin too.

Ironically I had my eye on him for a bit when he was that high, because I thought Flames would be a lottery team. Nah we'll draft him anyways because we're god damn awesome.

Anyone have any ideas into why he fell this far, why so many teams continued to overlook him? There has to be something really glaring with his game to fall so far.

I almost guarantee most Bruin fans would rather have Kylington over the guy they picked with the Dougie first rounder.

Could be potentially a top 5 player in the draft when it's all said and done. Love the pick at this point of the draft.

Treliving is beyond brilliant!

#TrustInTreliving

I had him 28th in final rankings (for what it's worth!)

#28 Kylington, Oliver 6'0 D
Poetic Puckmoving Defenseman - slipping stock, but skating and passing are poetry in motion

Team needs? Young top-pairing d-man to go with core, and defensive prospects. Treliving picks up Hamilton, Rasmus Andersson, and Kylington.

That's impressive.

And he might still be the best skater in the draft after McDavid.

Love the pick. Big upside.

I think they've adequately addressed the lack of D-prospects in the system

Wow! I can't believe that we came away with two great dmen prospects from this draft plus DH. A+ last two days for Brad. Can't be happier about our future.

Wow, we're cleaning up on the back end this draft. Set up so nicely. Can't believe we got Kylington here.

Interesting pick. I like it a lot. Being drafted out of Europe, he could come over to Stockton right away to start working with the Flames. Depending on contract situation in SWE of course. Does anyone know what his contract situation currently is?

So is his slide based on him being overrated initially, and he's properly valued as a second rounder? Or are there concerns about his development?

http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article...ckey-rankings/
Kylington was ranked 7th overall ahead of Zacha, Crouse, Konecny, Connor, Rantanen, Marner(!).

Was ranked 6th.
