Started out on a 80cc two stroke Suzuki and moved up to a 250cc Ducati. The only problem is learning the limitations of your ride. If you can't manage that maybe you should take up something else. I wasn't foolish enough to take the Suzuki on the freeway or try passing when the speed was over 50mph. What I found more dangerous was riding some Harley knockoff that couldn't maneuver out of it's own way.
