The 3D was done really well too, I flinched on a few occasions.
What I can't get over was Hardys voice/accent. Didn't anyone tell him Max was Australian?
It was basically a gravelly American Bane.

95% of the time you're mesmerized by the action, not the standard Mad Max plot. I do personally like the dystopian / post-apocalyptic setting, but it was the frenetic action, crazy costumes, and psychotic personalities that made it great. I did have issues with some of the storyline (e.g. how fast Nux changed his attitude about the whole thing with very little dialogue or explanation). But that's not worth focusing on for obvious reasons.

I mean really - what other movie could get away with a 5-story speaker truck with a homicidal psycho playing a flamethrowing guitar at 70 mph? Balls to the wall, over-the-top awesome.

Meant to put this in my first post but what I loved about the action, especially the final battle, was how it felt like a Medival Seige on wheels. Different waves of characters and weapons coming at different times.

Like the Battle of Helms Deep, on wheels.

Saw it yesterday - easily best action movie of the year so far!! It was like drinking 10 Red Bulls in 2 hours - it reminded me of a Rob Zombie film if he was ever given a budget to work with

I think Hoult's "what a lovely day" will be one of this decade's action catchphrases.

Saw it yesterday, and agree that it was fantastic. A relentless wave of action and chase. I saw it in 3D and I still don't prefer that method of watching a movie. I don't think it adds anything of value for me.

So many cool characters. The crazy bad ass leader, who apparently was called Immorton Joe, was one of the best bad guys I've seen on screen.

Saw it tonight, it was everything I had hoped it would be. It's basically The Road Warrior if it had a Hollywood budget, which makes it by far the best in the series. Highlight was definitely the soundtrack, the booming wardrums set such an awesome mood for the battles

He was also Toecutter from the original Mad Max. Brilliant call by Miller to bring him back

My new favorite soundtrack. Just listening to it gives me chills, but combined with the visuals it was mind blowing

Witness It!

I saw it yesterday. Watched it in 3D but it gave me some headaches and didn't look quite right. It was an awesome movie though. I think I would have enjoyed it more in 2D.

Oddly enough, not every movie that comes out is based on a comic book you know...

I've never seen the original movies but the 98% on RT and the hype has me debating which movie I should go see today.

Avengers or this.

Do I need to know the original movies to enjoy this?
