Ya I looked on Ticketmaster yesterday and was surprised to see club seats still available. Then I saw that they were $635 each for seats behind the net. You can go to Mexico for a week's vacation for the same money.

Gold! I was about to post - the folks who do put down $600+ per ticket for a game are not the same folks who go to Mexico on $600 all inclusive specials to 2 Mexican star (-3 star Cdn) 'resorts'....

Yeah, if they're paying for it. Otherwise they may want to sign that cheque directly over to the AB taxpayers.

I checked my order history and I paid roughly the same (maybe add a bit for round 2) for tonight's game as I did for the Sharks and Hawks in 2008/2009 (all through Ticketmaster). A bit pricey, but a good experience and always fun in the playoffs.
The resale market is already nuts for game 4 though. Easily 2-3x what face value is. I'm hoping to go to that as well but after this dramatic win I doubt I'll be able to afford it.

They have to pay for the year used on Bennett's contract, to have him tie it tonight (yes he tied it) makes it a bargain

No chance of provincial help with the NDP in power. Any help would have to come from the city.

As has been sorta mentioned, season ticket holder prices are far more reasonable than game day sales. Anyone here with ST's that can lend some info to the discussion?
Considering season tickets were not sold out this year, that means there were more seats available that were sold at this premium pricing. Considering a perfect storm like this only happens one in a blue moon, and we haven't sold out in many years, not to mention have had no playoff revenue, I can't be too upset.
Hopefully this eases the new arena along a little.

Don't set yourself up for hundreds of unsold seats in a Canadian hockey market with Stanley Cup Final pricing. We can say it's because of the 0-2 start and the Ducks domination all we want, but at the end of the day, there's likely 40-50k fans willing to pay good money to be in the Dome for game 3, and you guys priced most of your fans out of a friggin playoff game in round 2.
I get it, the scalpers buy all the tickets, so they analyzed the secondary market and decided to basically price-match the scalpers, but how annoying is this? A playoff game in round two in a Canadian city, and we'll be looking at about 18600 fans in a 19289 seat stadium.
Perhaps that was a tad overdramatic, I understand and support what they were doing here, so again, I don't want to be labelled as guy who doesn't get what they're doing, I guess I'm just pissed at their execution and the embarrassment of now seeing what looks like it will be entire rows of empty seats throughout the Dome in what is supposed to be the best playoff atmosphere in the league.

Since the majority of CP users make 6 figures, it wasn't really a problem.
If you were at this game, it was worth every penny, no matter the cost. Cudos for you!

Fly to Anaheim, pay for a hotel, go to Disneyland, rent a sea-doo at Long Beach and it's still gonna be cheaper

Season tickets cost around 50% of face value. A bit less.
