A really bitchy post election thread that racks up pages in a hurry.

Rather than come up with numbers, I'll just ditto this, close enough.

I would like to see another party (NDP, WR, whoever) win, but I am thanking those that have the PCs winning - I don't agree with it, but I think that is what will happen. Already chatter on twitter that PCs think they have enough for majority.

Seriously? anything credible?
I'll have to laugh if that happens though.

Can't find it right at the moment, but there are some rumours floating around. Edit: nevermind, here's one:
Stephen Carter @carter_AB Hearing from sources inside the #PCAA war room they are confident in a PC majority. Discuss. #abvote #cdnpoli

I agree. All the talk last election was about how WR were going to be the ones to finally unseat PC with all the pre-election polls supporting that, only for people to change their minds once they got into the ballot box and PC won big. Now all the talk is about NDP, but I wager once people go to vote they just put a check beside PC like they always do

The cynic in me says the online chatter and polls are far removed from the traditional PC voters, and the current fear mongering by the PC's will get the traditional (see old) voters out in droves.
PC majority. Sadly.

I'm calling BS. I bet that Prentice wishes he could cancel the election and wait another year or two.
I love the earlier post with PC, WR, and NDP each getting 29 seats.

I would love something like that too. Mix it all up. Good for democracy.
Here's another one too apparently:
rick bell @sunrickbell 3h3 hours ago PC campaigners say they're set for a slim majority. Only you can prove them wrong. #abvote #calsun

I also think it's going to be a slight PC majority.
I just can't see this province swinging NDP.

I hope NDP and WR win a bunch of seats. You can't yell any louder in Alberta than by taking PC seats and giving them to the friggin NDP. I want a minority gov't, and I want the balance of power to lie with a kooky independent.

I think when times are somewhat unsettlied, the Alberta voters tend to do what's best for the province. My guess would be:
PC 38
WR 20
NDP 19
LIB 9
AP 1

It's not just about changing minds. Polling is one thing, voting is another. Getting your supporters out to actually cast a ballot requires organization and work. Making calls, driving seniors to polling stations, etc.. The PCs have a lot of experience at this, and a lot of resources. The other parties don't.
How many people who say they will vote NDP will stay home on election night because they had a rough commute, or they couldn't get anyone to watch the kids, or they want to crack a beer and get ready to watch the game?
