Having read through the seat allocation thread, there does appear to be a fair amount of movement. Would the folks that have gone through this recommend picking up whatever is available and then shuffle seats in the forecoming years? My ideal spot would be second bowl, good whites, but I know those will be tough. How are the green or orange for view/value?
Thanks in advance.

I received my season tickets last year, heading into a season most felt was going to be another rebuild year. As such, I managed to get in when there were more options as the turnover of tickets was higher (and probably for a few years prior). Even with those circumstances, my options for whites were very few. It's been a year now, but I only recall 2 options for whites (in the attack zone), and again, this during a down year.
I went into my time slot with the mindset I'd be getting Green's and was anticipating most if not all choices to be the high corners. I too wanted whites, but figured it was better to 'get in' first, and shuffle from within over time rather than sit on the outside waiting for options that may never come available.
It turned out I was able to secure whites, so I really lucked out for my own particular needs. But I can tell you having just gone through it and now having participated in the relocation process, that waiting on the sidelines for your more 'ideal' tickets is an exercise in futility. Go in with the mindset you're going to grab greens and be in the high rows at that. If you set your expectation accordingly by it, you'll definitely be pleased if not now than a year from now when you realize first hand how better off you are for being in the position of a ticket holder with ability to relocate ahead of and versus being on the Hot House list. This will especially be true should relocation be at a minimal next year and for a number of years thereafter as the team improves and if/when an arena is announced. As a bonus, if you go in thinking high greens, perhaps something even a few rows lower shows up and exceeds what you anticipated heading in.
Hopefully they allow you to log in online and view the available arena seats interactively. That's how it was last year and I really enjoyed that feature. It was much better than the relocation process which is to call in and play cat and mouse with the guy on the phone having to probe for what is available versus being told.
In the event the format has changed and you no longer have the interactive feature and are instead just speaking with someone blindly, here is the roughnecks season ticket link. If you click on this, it gives you the sections interactively and you can then take the seats voiced to you over the phone and get a nicer visual for them:

All the best man, good luck!

There was a very high renewal rate this year and there wasn't much movement compared to previous years.
