He was a good sport, if a bit disingenuous. He has to do what he has to do to not welch, no one said he has to be enthusiastic about it.
And the Wancouver Millionaires? What a joke.

I'll admit I thought it was a pretty lame bet at the time, but that was firckin' awesome

The zeal he showed to rub salt in the wound, quite frankly, surprised me. LOL.

I seem to be the minority - I think Nenshi's poetry is awful.

No such luck, but his goal is to cripple the City of Vancouver by closing almost all the vehicle lanes and only allowing pedestrian and bicycle traffic into the downtown core..

This is great. Can't wait to hear the Montreal mayor read a similar poem in a few weeks.

I'd imagine few (NONE) are judging it on poetry merit, SebC. No one is thinking what a wonderful poet our beloved Mayor is. We're enjoying the humour and witty zingers.

I believe the idea to write a poem was due to the fact April is Poetry Month

I'm not 100% sure, but a girl that I went to High school with is his writer, Erin Chrusch. I know her well, I dated her sister and this poem has her work all over it. Great writer obviously, she did a great job as the valedictorian when she graduated too.

Its a sad day when a man cant sit back and ridicule another City's Mayor whilst enjoying a cold beverage and some witty zingers.
