Yes, when he was signed, Treliving mentioned that since he signed after the trade deadline, they were able to sign him to a contract that starts next season.

Carroll, via Victoria, and Adirondack's Hathaway, Morrison, Stevenson also join #Flames. They aren't eligible to play, however.

How does it work with these guys anyways? The Flames prospect group was also so shallow and poor in previous playoff years that we really had no one.

Do they practise separate from the main group? Who works with them?

(Interview with Brad Pascale)

A lot of comments about how big of a leader Wotherspoon was in the AHL

Sieloff will be a developed as a defenseman

The defence group seemed like such a mess all season long. Guys sitting, guys playing forward. Hope they get this fixed for the upcoming season.

They practice separate from the main group. That's why they usually try and have even numbers for lines and pairings. I would imagine the strength and conditioning coaches skate with them (van Asten, Thompson and Pittis, most likely).

I hold out a small bit of hope. Read in the newspaper that he's going to change his playing style because he doesn't fight much at all, lose a little weight, speed up his game and approach a Bollig style (he didn't say that last part but I think that's the jist). If he can get down to 225ish and learn to skate he could be another playoff asset against the teams trying to play dirty or when one of our guys gets hurt.

Agostino and Wolf have to be the most likely candidates of seeing playoff ice time in as an injury replacement. Don't think wotherspoon was too shabby last game.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see Dustin Stevenson on that list. He's exactly the type of veteran you want down on the farm for next season. I'm happy that he's part of the Black Aces, even if he can't play. Good for him.

Sieloff is gonna be a keeper.

Wish he didn't lose a year of development. His reckless on the edge style of play will be a huge asset to the Flames as they don't have a defensemen that plays like that.

Tyler is a great kid, our system is tough and unfair on D because of the system they play, so its hard to be on top of his game, he'll be in the lineup tonight, we think Tyler deserves to play
- Bob Hartley (paraphrased)

Doesn't sound like the entitled stuff that (Dean Molberg?) was insinuating

Treliving will be on the Fan 960 at 7:10. It's the pregame show but this will likely be brought up
