I'd be pissed if the following teams win the lottery, in this order.
1.) Oilers
2.) Avs
3.) Leafs
I'd also be disappointed if Coyotes or Sabres won (just because I want Oilers to lose another position), but I wouldn't be too upset.
Really hope Columbus wins it, although it's a pretty slim chance. I think they deserve it. At least they still tried to the very end, unlike tankers like Oilers/Sabres/Yotes. And their fans seem to so want to so desperately cheer for a winning team.
Like others have said, anyone but the Oilers or the Leafs. Oilers would be bad for obvious reasons, while if the Leafs won, we would never, ever heard the end of it on all media outlets for the rest of our lives.
That would bring an immediate franchase player, face of franchise type excitement to Arizona, and suddenly much more viability to a once (maybe still) uncertain market.

Reason: Yes i do believe the NHL have control of who wins
I'm probably in the minority, but I'd like to see the Oilers get halfway respectable again and rekindle the battle of Alberta. If they need McDavid to do that, so be it - would make for some great games.
Yep you are definitely the minority or maybe alone on what you are thinking. First you were asking if we are sad that we don't get a chance to win the lottery then you were hoping Oilers wins the McDavid so they go back to respectability.
I would rather see the Flames playing in the playoff. I also would rather see a team outside of our division and conference to win the McDavid lottery. I will be happy if Columbus wins the lottery so it means Buffalo gets Eichel.
Oh yeah I don't want the Maple Laffs to win the lottery either.
That being said, I have fully accepted our likelihood of doing so, though the best of anyone, isn't highly likely. Eichel is a fantastic prospect as well, and the one I am expecting to become a Sabre this summer.
Would not be able to stand the new round of "Something Special" from the Oilers and can't even imagine the insanity around McDavid if he ended up in TO. I would feel bad for him.
