When did ever happen? Regehr was more than an ex-04 player, he was the team's best defenseman for years and played for Team Canada in the World Cup. Iginla and Kipper will be definites. The only other guy I could see anyone ever saying that about might be Gelinas because of the goals he's scored but I doubt it was ever was said.

Most successful playoff teams have an agitator, someone who is good at getting the opposition off their game, gets under their skin and basically they and their fans don't like his face. I'm really hoping that Ferland continues to evolve into that guy for the current group.

Loved the fact that when he came over to the Flames from the Blackhawks during the trading deadline in 2004, the guy was so thrilled to be a Flames and be part of that run to the Cup.

I miss Ville. I think the Flames should hire him as a special assistant to the stick boys, so we can have him behind the bench yammering at the other team's players.

I challenge anyone to find a photo of him on the ice with his mouth closed. He was like Venom.

He always had that grin when he was tired - it was just the way his mouth went. But to the the opposition and opposing fans it looked like he was smirking.

I remember on goal in the POs where he skaets up the wing, looks pass, and then almost no look blasts the puck for a goal. I forget against who, though (SJ maybe).

More games in the POs than regular season as a Flame. That goal I remember above - I don't think it was POs after all.

Shouldn't have kept him for at least one more season - he did OK on the Rangers, and the Flames could have used him.

Best agitator the Flames have had for a while. Now Ferland looks to be trying to channel his inner Ville

I'll always remember that no look goal Nieminen scored during the 04 run. Best of luck in your retirement Ville!

Scored two of the greatest goals I've ever seen.

The one where he blows up Salo, and the one where he dekes Cujo out of his jock standing alone in front of the net.

Bitter sweet memories of Niemo though, I think he cost Calgary the cup after being a huge part of getting them there in the first place.
