Luckily being book smart isn't a requirement to make millions in the NHL.

No, but being a certifiable moron IS a requirement to be drafted by the oil.

Crosby has announced he will play for Team Canada at the Worlds.
Almost shaping up to look like an Olympic calibre forward group for Canada. Almost.

Jets prospect Connor Hellebuyck named to USA roster.
I really hope he shuts out the Czechs if they play and Pavelec lets in 5 goals, then refuses to shake his hand after.

Wow that American team is bad, especially the forward group.

Wow. I am really impressed that he would join the squad after a disappointing finish to the year. A true Canadian.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

We'll send Getzlaf and Perry to give him a hand in about a week or so.

I actually like that D. Lots of up and comers. Really glad to see Ekblad on the team. Kid's a stud.

Hockey Canada is tired of losing this tournament. going all in.
If that roster doesn't get it done, I don't know what will.

If Stamkos and Tavares are added in the next couple days. Look out. This won't even be close.

I see Sean Couturier has been added. Could guys actually get cut (Ennis, Eakins) if Stamkos and Tavares became available?

I applaud any guy who elects to play in this tourney. It shows how much they love the game of hockey and aren't spoiled by their fat paychecks.

Damn I was going to go to this tourney. My wife was supposed to go travelling with her mom and I was planning to take advantage of that to go on a hockey bender in the Czech Republic. Plans fell through. Would have been great to cheer for Sid the Kid in person for once.

I don't think so. Would look pretty bad on Hockey Canada to invite someone and then turn them away if someone better comes along later. I'm sure Hockey Canada always has to be quite strategic with its invitations at this time of year.

I cannot wait to see Hellboy in net. I'm glad he will be getting this experience, after such an outstanding year in the AHL.
