Red Flames hoodie.

Always felt I shouldn't wear a jersey for a team I don't play for.

I'm old school though, won't touch the Stanley Cup either.
(look but don't touch)

Do they allow big flags into the dome for playoffs? I might get my hands on some tickets want to bring a large flag on a long telescopic pole (golf ball retriever).

Depends on where I am. If I'm at home, I'll wear the jersey with a Flames shirt under that and end up taking the jersey off part way through. If I'm out at a friends or at a bar, I'll keep the jersey on the whole game.

So, I only have game 6 against Chicago in 2009 as reference (guess that's as recent as it gets), and I had the exact setup you just described (approx. 2.5' x 5' flag). Maybe it depends where your seats are, but I extended it once and flew it for a few seconds before I had 2 ushers converging on me threatening to confiscate it I flew it again. I was in the second bowl and thought it'd be ok...apparently not.

Just my experience though...maybe things are different now

I like to double up my good luck when going to games. I wear my Red 2004 horse-head shoulder jersey with my 2004 red Flames Nation tshirt underneath.

This tshirt:

I was wearing it during every single game of our cup run, so I definitely have to keep doing that this year.

During the '04 run the ushers were pretty forgiving of people with flags as long as they had them put away while play was on. Don't know how good they'll be about that now. But at the start of the game and during the warmup etc. there were lots of them waving without issue.

My Regehr Red '04 jersey. Got it as a present right before the playoffs and have worn it for every playoff game I have ever attended or watched.

Ask yourself if you would enjoy being seated behind or beside someone with a large flag on a bloody telescopic pole waving that #### from side to side obstructing your view. Where would you even put the flag when not using it? Roll it up and put the poll across the feet of your crew?
