As a 23 year old he will get a 2 year deal.

Hathaway really earned his way to contract.
Showed up at training camp as second fittest only to Giordano.
Been one of Adirondack's best players
plays a real hard nose game. really earned coaches trust.
priority to add to the RW side, not a lot of depth there
lots of Lance Bouma attributes to him
mentions really good on the PK

Nice. Hopefully he pulls a Jooris and makes the team out of camp next fall.

Would be just fine having a right shooting Bouma on the roster.

I've watched him about 65 times this year, I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a good NHL 4th liner. He hits and plays well defensively, but he also knows where to be in front of the net to bang in pucks. Solid all round player, nothing exceptional, but he checks most of the boxes that you'd be looking for in a young player.

Frankly I have been shocked that the Flames didn't sign him earlier after the preseason and all the way through the year.

I'm just super happy were finding these sort of diamonds in the rough in college hockey that can come in and make an immediate impact on the organization. That's good scouting, and it's awesome to see.
