I echo the sentiment that a team other than edmonton or Arizona should win to keep mcdavid back east. Preferably Buffalo as well to keep both mcdavid and eichel away from the competition in west.
I ran the NHL draft simulator 10 times and got following results
Buffalo 2
Edmonton 2
Arizona 1
Nj 1
Carolina 1
Philadelphia 1
Columbus 1
Toronto 1

I absolutely do NOT want to see any of:
Arizona, Edmonton, Toronto, San Jose, Colorado, Dallas or LA win it.
So there is a 47.5% chance I'm going to hate the result Saturday.

Anybody but Edmonton or Colorado.
Would like to keep him out of the division so I guess LA and SJ would be next in line.
Don't care which of the teams out east might get him; would prefer Columbus or Florida though...

It's always going to be unbearable with media coming out of Toronto. They are the biggest market in hockey, and that's not ever going to change.
Personally I want Toronto to win draft lottery. McDavid is from Toronto and a big leafs fan. They are going to talk about Toronto anyway. Might as be with a player that can get them back to winning ways sooner than later.

Doesn't bother me at all if Leafs get him...much better than Arizona, Columbus, Florida, Carolina....those are not real hockey markets.

Count me in as a non-hater.
Toronto.
It's more interesting to have a competitive Leafs team than a crappy one. Look how much the battle of Alberta has died because of the Oilers level of suckitude. There isonly do much TV air time. It's not possible to get much more of the Leafs shoved down our throats. This will make it interesting. It may even motivate Shanahan to gut the team and turn them into a likeable bunch.
Besides, it bumps Edmonton down one slot.

Meh, no thanks. It's much more entertaining watching their soap opera. When they start winning, they turn into Habs fans. And nobody needs that.
I really hope Columbus wins. That's one market that deserves a little luck.

I'd like a higher team, to push all the tankers down a bit, so maybe Columbus.

I'd like McDavid to go to a bad eastern team with very little in their prospect cupboard like New Jersey or Carolina
add McDavid to Johansen, Jenner, Wennberg, Milano, Dano, Rychel and Bjorkstrand would be deadly for the next 15 years

I wish him a successful career somewhere, but not in Canada or out west.
Philly works for me. Players usually play well there, but don't win championships.

I wouldn't care if Toronto got him.
I'd like to see the Devils or Jackets get him.
Really though, just anyone but the Oilers.

Columbus deserves it more than anyone else on that list. If it weren't for injury, Columbus might be in a playoff spot

I want Arizona to win it. I want to see that arena packed.
I don't care that they are in the west and will be loaded with top prospects. Flames will have to beat the best anyways if they want to become champs, doesn't matter where they are.

Carolina, Columbus, NJ, or Philly would be cool. That way pretty McDavid and Eichel will pretty much never bother us

I'll say it would be nice to have a player with McDavid's hype in the West, since these guys are always going east.

In order of preference: - Columbus (Likable fans, a team that tries but needs a break)
- Florida (A team that tries but could use a big push)
- Carolina (Another team that tries)
- Philadelphia (Solid hockey town, could use help)
- New Jersey (Pretty much the same)
- Boston (Another solid hockey town, needs less help than the teams above)
- Buffalo (Tankers, but at least they're tankers who seem to have a plan beyond McEichel)
- Arizona (Tanky tankers in the East)
- Dallas (Would be an exciting offensive team, hasn't had success recently)
- Toronto (At least it's in the East, and a team that needs help)
- San Jose (I've never really disliked them, so...)
- Los Angeles (Would be ridiculous)
- Colorado (Still dislike their previous tank job)
- Edmonton (Suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked)
