I believe Addy has 4 games left AFTER tomorrow, last one on the 19th. Any chance of Gillies getting a start down there if he turns pro?
They have four left including tomorrow.
It depends on whether or not his contract kicks in for this season or next. If it's a next year deal, he'll probably go to Adirondack on an ATO. If he does, I'm sure he'll get at least one start next weekend.

All fine and dandy for Treliving to say but what if Mark prefers to turn pro and you say no?
Do you take the chance he has a monster senior year and then gives you the finger.
That'd be an unbelievably ######nozzle move considering everything the organization has done to have him in the best place to succeed. I would hope that Jankowski would realize him and the Flames are mutually benefitting from him succeeding when he does leave NCAA.

Please explain(without spilling secret beans) what the flames did for Jankowski so far?
Meh. You take the compensatory pick and move on. He's not going to unseat Monahan or Bennett in the future anyway.
If I recall correctly there are more then two center ice positions on a team, and if you've been paying attention Jankowski excels at a two-way 3rd line role at the moment.
Few two prospects are going to unseat Bennett and Monahan, they're elite level prospects.
Anyways, this thread isn't about Jankowski. I do love that even after the Frozen Four tournament he had there are still guys who can Jankow a thread.
Said it in the Game Thread but anyone who doesn't think Jankowski is a legit NHL prospect at this point and would send him off willy nilly for a 2nd round compensation pick are seriously out to lunch or have an axe to grind. Kid's legit, he's a player. I know some of you get your knickers all hot and bothered by the flashyness of Gaudreau as a prospect, but few guys are like that. You need high level players in all areas, and Jankowski could be one of them. For all the talk about what a great bottom level player Arnold might be, Jamkowski is better IMO. Nate Leaman is running a top notch program and Mark has done very well under it. He'll move up the line up next year and wouldn't surprise me at all for his point totals to take a good leap up.
Hope GIllies signs.

Apparently Conroy is the Flames' Agent Coulson? They just give him a personal jet to fly around and take care of business, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D style?

With Ramo out and Ortio fresh off a long injury layoff it's in the Flames best interest to get this guy signed and have him around in case Hiller gets injured in the playoffs. He might be 3rd stringer, but I trust him way more than Thiessen.
Looks like Northeastern really missed out on having a powerhouse team.
Both Gaudreau and Gillies had committed to Northeastern University by signing letters of intent.
Gaudreau was able to get out of his commitment when the Brian Burke managed Leafs hired the coach of Northeastern. (It is a NCAA rule that players can get out of that commitment if the coach that recruited you leaves the program).
Gillies asked and was granted a release from his commitment when Northeastern's starting goalie decided to come back for his senior year and Gillies would have to backup his freshman year.

I definitely think Jankowski would benefit from another season in NCAA, but there is a very real risk that he decides to become a free agent if he goes that path.
It doesn't mean he is a bad kid, or ungrateful, etc....I think any top prospect would rather have the freedom to choose their spot than be forced into a single organization.
I'm not saying he would necessarily do this, but one cannot deny there is a very real chance he does.

We should learn more on Jon Gillies playing future in next day or two. Flames seem eager to sign the star goalie and Frozen Four champ.
