No wonder Tortz went insane in NY. Brooks should be banished to up North. His no goodness will fit in perfectly.

Veteran players tuning out one of the various Sutters after years of tirades.... that's weird?

They didnt really under perform. They made it in to the playoffs by the skin of their necks the majority of the time.
They actually over performed if anything. 8Th in thw west to a few cups is lucky.
3 game 7's last year being down 3-0 or 3-1.

The Kings under Sutter remind me a lot of, well, the Flames under Sutter. I've had the same feeling about them for years that I had about the '04 Flames: great playoff team IF they qualify. Sooner or later they were bound to be on the wrong side of 8th place.

Sutter tirades?
I've heard he is too quiet and doesn't say much.
Tirades?
I call BS.

Yeah, "tirades and lectures" are not the Sutter style. At all. Just look at the way he's handled Eric Francis all these years. Snidely sarcastic, maybe, but he's not a shouter. He makes his players accountable, but I've never heard of him berating them like that.
Made-up nonsense.

Warrener said that Sutter would dress down players and take personal shoots like nobody else. He said DS had a way of putting his arm around you and with other hand putting the knife in your stomach. He would take players apart in front of others often and knew how to hurt them. Didn't mention much shouting.

If it's true I'd say it is kinda crappy on the side of the players. Two championships in three years and they are tired of him?
I get how he might be one of the most abrasive coaches right now, but you gotta respect his results. Tune him out if you want. But that level of disrespect? Smacks of spoiled millionaires.
If it's true... as I said

I feel that we never know what is going on behind the scenes. only players can relay what is going on; this could have been a pretty funny April fools gag that gets blown out of proportion.

I hate to be the 'tinfoil hat' guy, but this is the third time I've heard of a situation like this and where theres smoke there is often fire.
And it isnt like its unbelievable, Sutter as a coach has a shelf-life and everyone knows it, it isnt inconceivable to consider the fact that hes approaching the end of it.

What the heck Larry Brooks knows about Los Angeles? He is covering the East specifically the New York areas. I guess there's nothing trash to write about the NY Rangers and NY Islanders these days so he creates some trash about LA. This guy need to retire.

Never understood what it is about Sutter that pisses off the white collar so much, just wait around ever comer waiting for their chance to give the man a kick and see if they can knock him down...

And you know that everyone who doesn't like Sutter is a white collar-type?
Just because everyone on CP makes >$100,000 doesn't make them white-collar.
