Does Crosby have to take a big chunk of blame if they miss because he's captain?
What, after another PPG year? Doubt it. Think their problem is that they have a bunch of players who are really susceptible to injury. Some have been unlucky, others are just treatment room fodder. Even with their game tomorrow, only 3 of their players will have played 80 games or more. Compare that to our 5, basically 6 if you count the time Hudler had off to attend the birth of his kid.

Their team is just riddled with players with dodgy injury records. No wonder they struggle so much.

Jim Rutherford was an awful hire. If Doug Wilson gets let go in San Jose, I would think he ends up in Pittsburgh.

Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
PIT GM Jim Rutherford on Kris Letang: "Based on his present condition, he probably will not be able to play this year."

Then again, anything can happen.

Having said that, Buffalo is assured of drafting either Eichel or McDavid, as they have won the 2015 Tank Bowl.
I think the Flyers will be competitive and give the Senators a difficult time. The Flyers spoiled the Islanders playoff party on Tuesday night.

Man, this guy has the worst luck. Hope he ends up having a full recovery.

Thats three concusions for Letang in his career so far? Along with the other serious injury he has had (something to do with blood clotting?) I would think he's entering into Marc Savard territory of having his career in jeopardy.

Who better to know how to built a roster around two cap heavy players? SJ is in real trouble if Joe and Patty don't waive this year.
