I am certainly glad last night game was in Calgary and not LA

a potential game 7 in Calgary would be a better option than one on the road. Not saying they can't win on the road but I think you try and win that game Saturday

You definitely try and win...just not with the same lineup. Nobody says the "Caged tiger", Wotherspoon, Shore and Potter can't play their hearts out.

Nothing on the line for either team tomorrow (well, there's the slim chance that the Canucks lose to the Oilers, but that's a long shot), so will be interesting lineup wise. Could easily see Winnipeg give guys like Copp a game and play the backup too.

As for the Flames, I want to see Bennett, Wotherspoon, Ortio and Shore. Also give Potter some heavy minutes tomorrow, I felt really bad for him yesterday. If there's ever a game where you can easily give Wotherspoon, Potter and Schlemko 20+ minutes and rest the stars, it's tomorrow.

With that hat on and the way he is dressed, Monahan looks like he's there to get a hockey card signed.

If Van loses then it's great, but I think they're preparing for this like it's going to be an away series.
FWIW Our friend in Vancouver that manages certain facilities there let us know that they Flames have booked practice facilities for Tuesday and Thursday already at UBC.
I would imagine this is pretty standard - Vancouver has probably done similar in Calgary "in case". You cover all bases for things like this.

Well yeah, L.A. has an amazing home record and a god awful road record. In that situation it mattered. With the Canucks it really won't make much of a difference.

And of course you still try to win the game on Saturday, but it's much more important to have your top players rested and healthy than it is to gain one extra home game when it's likely to make little difference on the series as a whole.
