Yeah stubhub was nuts. 100+ for PL last I looked.

Saw him there at the Philly game. Didn't have the jacket though. Definitely the same guy though.

Similar story back in 2002 or so, my buddy and I had one ticket and were just trying to get in the building...their prices were BS so we were just asking people if they had an extra ticket. He comes over and threatens to beat us up for buying tickets on his "turf"

what a clown

Randy (Broncos guy) is indeed a clown. Before scalping was legal he tried the same thing on me, offering to go behind the tracks to fight me. I suggested we fight right beside the CPD that were standing 20 feet away, but first I wanted to ask them if scalping was legal and if threatening to fight a guy was also legal. He tried to be tough but he backed down quickly when I didn't care that he continued to stand there.

I am 100% okay with scalping, but I am 100% against intimidation tactics like that. Broncos guy makes a ton of money doing a crappy job very well, but him and his paint smelling friends are giant dbags with trying to mark their turf.

I wish there was some law about mark up on tickets. Like 25% or something on Stubhub or ticket exchange. It shouldnt be a game for the wealthy

It's unlikely that he has running water in his single wide trailer.... so no.

The regular face value is $114 a seat, but the Flames have made this a premium game so they are $144 a seat.

Let's suppose you are a STH and can't make a playoff game that cost you $100 for the pair. Do you think you should be limited to only $125 if people are willing to pay you $400 for the same tickets? If you have multiple strangers wanting to buy your tickets, why wouldn't you take the higher amount? We are also talking about the premium games here. There wasn't outrage for these games in the early part of the season. Now that you have more people wanting to purchase a finite number of tickets, the price will trend upwards.

On the flip side I don't feel sorry for people at all when they can't get rid of those tickets because nobody wants to go to a Sunday night game against the Sabres. The free market will set the price and it should be based on demand. There are so many factors that go into who has the money, but if they are willing to spend it to watch hockey, I think you let them. The people with enough money will find a way to purchase the tickets regardless of what limits are put on them. By limiting the profit on StubHub and Ticketmaster to an amount of 25%, you would be basically harming STHs from earning that profit and be pushing those tickets to the street level. There are way more things that can go wrong when buying tickets outside the Dome, or on 17th Ave, but if you let people list them for any amount on those sites, the transactions are secure, the tickets are guaranteed, and the safety of the buyer and seller are assured.

Broncos guy and his friend are all intimidation - there are many stories similar to the ones already posted, including mine.

Two seasons ago we had to bail from a Flames game one hour before puck drop so I ran over to the Ctrain bridge (live nearby) to sell for below cost out of desperation. I get up there and start offering them to people walking by and he comes rushing over asking what the f I'm doing. I explain my situation, offering them to him for the same below cost price and he scoffs at the price - while selling comparables for double my price - and tells me I'd better get out of their turf if I don't want to get rolled...with intense staring. Okay then, Broncos guy.

Resume selling and a couple minutes letter over he comes again with the same threats. At that point I'm just like: look, man, I don't care that you and your pals do this #### every game just buy the tickets and I'll be gone immediately I'm not wasting my time with your tough guy act, I just want to ditch these as fast as possible. At that point he yells at his companion about me thinking they are just kidding around or something and starts laughing. Okay again. Soon after he comes sulking over cash in hand and tells me to never do this again or I'll have something bad I don't want coming my way. Seriously, what are they going to do? They are in the same spot every game...if they touch someone it's not like they won't know where to find them. Cool story, bro.

tl;dr: Don't let Broncos loser and friends bully you it's all empty threats

That sounds high for "green" seating section, that sounds more like "white" price range you quoted.

You would think the Bronco guy would be pretty much out of business with the existence of StubHub.

Most of (if not all) of the seats at the top of Section 219 are the tickets that they sell at Co-op. Tomorrow's game would have cost $49.95 plus tax.

Man, this Bronco guy sounds like a piece of work. Thanks for the info. He should be put out of business and more if he's threatening people, sheesh.
