Spieth is incredible. I like what Mcilroy said about him- not necessarily amazing in any one area, but very good and consistent in every area of the game.
Course record in sight. He was a good pick to win, but the concern has been how he finishes tournaments on Sundays. A few final round leads that he hasnt closed- last week, last years Master's and Players championship. Those will hopefully help him this week.

Hmmm, very quick bogey putt by Spieth there- had the ball even stopped moving?

Spieth is rolling no doubt. But what about Tom Watson. Guy fires an under par round at age 65. Amazing.

He's a pretty amazing putter.

I was going to say the same thing, I think some is luck though when you're sinking 50 footers.

The skill is the frequency in which you make them though.

Agreed. It is amazing at how many long putts Spieth can (seemingly) make consistently.

Spieth is in a featured group on tsn.ca. He may lap the field soon.

It's only a 4 shot lead. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Stating the score isn't getting ahead. When I wrote the post, he was 1 off of lapping 2nd place. He is 5 clear of Hoffman now.

If Spieth keeps it going (and no reason to think he won't), it will make watching the last Flames game on Saturday a lot easier.

I will certainly be happy for him if he wins, but run away majors are never exciting- as seen by Martin Kaymer and Mcilroy when they won the US Opens. Hopefully someone can make it close.

Yeah, with the way Spieth has played the last while, I don't see him backing up so someone will have to go low to make it interesting

I sure hope Rory shoots a 63 tomorrow and Spieth slows down a bit so we can have some Sunday drama ...

Mcilroy flirting with the cut line. Im sure he will squeeze out a couple birdies and sneak in though.
