Anything above row 4/5 is a deal breaker. Turns into a seating free for all, tonnes of unruly fans, people talking & getting up constantly.

I'd rather go to a bar or home than the higher nosebleeds.

The second bowl is the best but if I can get rows 1-3 in PL for under 30 bucks vs. paying $50-70 for the worst 2nd bowl tickets I'll pick PL every time.

Rows 1 - 5 of the first bowl are worse than the last row of PL.

If you are going with kids and your terrified of them hearing swearing or players/refs being told to perform oral sex, I'd try to avoid the PL if you can. It can get rowdy.

This. I'll never understand why people pay so much money to sit where you can't see anything.

I sat in row 2 once this year, it was kinda neat to be that close for the novelty but I ended up watching most of the game from the jumbotron. Its a completely different
experience, pretty mediocre for actually watching a game.

The experience is great. I recall the whole Dome getting angry on that offside call vs the Avs.... and then they played Sweet Caroline and it was like everyone had been hit with a shot of Happy Gas. I didn't mind the PL seating TBH.

I can't imagine how crazy the LA Kings game is going to be.

Sat on the glass once in LA. Paid about the same for front row seats there as I would have for high 200s here. Neat to see and sit there once for the experience, but I'd much rather sit in the 200s, and glad I didn't spend a ton to check it out down there.

I used to love the seats up there, but it's hard to go back if you've experienced better seats.

I have been on the glass at the dome a couple times - Flames end, by the right faceoff dot. I actually like it, other than plays in the opposite end, near side, I could see pretty much everything. And we got a great view of the shootout (one game was the one where Berra made the save on his belly, flicking his ankle up).

Dollar for dollar the 1st three rows of the PL are the best value in the dome in my opinion.

Anything higher than that is more suited to a "boys night out" where you might be doing more drinking then watching of hockey.

I have season tickets up in press level row 9. I actually like them. You can see play develop better than tv, and the atmosphere is pretty good.

Yep, can't comment because I am ruined for Press level...not spoiled, my seats aren't that good but can't deal with the PL..

I also have been in various suites - can't beat private washrooms and giant bowls of popcorn.

Suites are great, unless you're footing the bill for food.

$80 chips anyone?

Also, not every suite has private washrooms.

Yup. Another suite for me tonight.

Really hard to go up to the PL after being in a lower suite.

Last 3 games I've been to were 3 rows up from the glass in the attack zone. Took my girlfriend's Dad and her brother to their first NHL game last month. Awesome spot for people to see their first game from.

Before the renovations in the mid 90s (about 94 or 95?) I often had seats in the lower bowl about 8-9 rows behind the net the Flames attack in the 1st and 3rd. I also often had seats behind the Flames goal in the 2nd tier about 7 rows up. I don't recall ever sitting along the sides. I was a young'un and relied on my dad getting those tickets, which he got from a business contact.

Since my adult life I didn't attend many games after the renovations. Once every two or three years, because in my early adult life I just couldn't afford to go. Then I married a hot chick with a well paying job and I have been to a minimum of one game per year. At first I just bought in the PL. I only attended games in PL from 2005 to about 2010. Then for the 2011/12 season I bought a small share of season tickets off of a friend who couldn't afford all of the games. Section 228. The next year I bought seats in the 2nd tier only and went to a couple of games. Then last year I bought a 3 game pack in the PL zone. This year I bought only in the 2nd level and the last game was tier 2, 4th row. Best seats of my adult life. Awesome.

I've been spoiled and try to avoid PL seating, but I'll still prefer to go to a game and wouldn't hesitate picking PL seats unless it was a regular season game against a team like Carolina. PL seats have to be for a team worth watching like Crosby, Chicago or a rival such as Edmonton or Vancouver.... actually, I've had bad experiences with Vancouver fans, so I won't go to a game when Vancouver is in town.

Speaking of lower bowl seats I agree that watching every game from that close isn't the greatest but definitely try it if you can. You gain a whole new level of appreciation on how big, fast and strong the players are. You don't watch the play, you watch what's happening right in front of you.

Watched a game this year from row 2 behind the net and it was awesome but you couldn't see the base of the net or the goal line.... the puck would go in and I'd have no idea until the entire dome erupted. I figured I looked like that clown that you always see on tv that isn't paying attention or celebrating goals haha.

The fact that Flames fans would say no to sitting in the PL for under forty bucks shocks me.

Yup I watched a game from the 2nd row beside the bench and it's insane how much faster the game looks from that close. You really see how elite these guys are.
