Woulda like to see both Ferland and Bollig in, but whatever.
This is going to be a TOUGH game. Hopefully St Louis mails one in, but somehow I doubt it. They sit at 99 points and want to clinch, as well as stay ahead of Chicago for home ice in Rd 1 (who sit 1 point back).
If we win this no way do we miss the playoffs. Unfortunately it's going to take one hell of an effort.
Edit: Shout out to Schlemko (great stats in the write up), I've also been noticing him for all the right reasons. Doesn't score a lot of goals or create a lot of offence, but is very rarely out of position or making bad plays. He seems to be a very smart dman, playing within his role. A very underrated pick up by Treliving.

With Tarasenko out for the Blues it makes the game a little bit easier for the Flames to win.

No Steen on the ice. Rattie, who was called up yesterday, is here. #stlblues

Only one line-up change for #Flames vs. #Blues - Brandon Bollig is in, Michael Ferland is out on the left side of the 4th line. #CGYvsSTL

Steen had 2 goals last game (on 2 really great shots), and Tarasenko had the key assist on the other goal (with a takeaway off Brodie and pass to the slot), so they accounted for all 3 non ENG goals. So all the Blues goals are now gone.
BTW, I looked at the highlights and Hiller was pretty solid. Both Steen goals were from away's out but the first picked the very corner and was a bit screened. The second was really screened. The other goal was the Brodie giveaway which led to a 3 way passing play and wide open backdoor. Hiller in fact made a great acrobatic save on a 2 on 1 early on to keep them in it. So I get Hartley sticking with him.

Thanks for this. I was having a difficult time piecing together a Blues lineup this morning. Hitch has had a lot of guys in and out of the lineup regularly.

I've been thinking about that for the last little while now and I'm wondering if he didnt just need more minutes to really get into a groove. Its really tough to show your abilities when you only get very minutes and they're very start and stop.
Lately with his increased role and playing time hes looking a lot more like the guy we thought we were getting.

I just think he's one of those guys that has a MAJOR extra gear when the chips are down, and vastly outworks his limited skill level. This is probably what Treliving saw when they decided to acquire him.

Figured a Bollig Stajan Ferland 4th line would be more ideal.
Ferland is a very scrappy kid and would add some muscle.

I'm expecting a loss tonight, just like I'm expecting an LA win.
Which will make it all the better when we win and the Kings lose!

Steen and Tarasenko have 60 of the Blues 220 goals. That's 27%. Hudler and Monahan have 26% of the #Flames goals so similar to missing them.

That's something I never thought I'd see, let alone in April during a playoff hunt.

#Flames arrived in St. Louis with 21 road wins so far this season. Franchise record is 22 — set in 1987-88 and matched in 1988-89.
