I'm on the side of call him up and hope that he's shown enough to date and in practice to play for the flames in the playoffs...yes the flames are getting in.

I'm not angry!!
I may be wrong but I believe once he is done with Kingston he comes up on a 2 way pro contract, I think that means if they "assign" him to Adirondack he can't come up until their season is finished.
I may be completely wrong but I think he has to either come straight to flames or play out the string in Addy

IMO if Kingston is eliminated, Bennett will go to Adirondack first.

This is probably true just to give the flames a better look and get him playing the system first.

I think they bring him in ADK as well. After this weekend they still have 7 regular season games left beginning with the Marlies on Tuesday April 7th in Toronto. Gotta think he would be playing top minutes right away, maybe even top line with Poirier.

no brainer to bring him to the show.
1) he was never cut this year technically, he was that good in camp
2) his OHL stint shows he's above that level
3) he's been with the NHL Flames all season (practice, systems)
4) he's probably the 5th best offensive forward on the team already
sending to the OHL was smart and responsible, not adding to your team when they look to be playoff bound is irresponsible.

I'm with Bingo on this one. For sure add him to the Flames roster. What a great story that would be as well.

It's because they feel like they own Bennett's rights and are royalty for having discovered this information in another thread. Very odd I must say...
Anyways, what's the recap on his 10 game ELC burnout does it matter between regular season and playoffs?
If 10 games is 10 games (between regular + playoffs) for this reason alone I could see them sending him to ADK first so that they can get a possible couple rounds out of him before having to even think about burning a year on his ELC. I mean if they bring him up now and Flames do well in the playoffs would they actually burn a year on him to keep him in the playoffs???????????

This is a stupid rationale to use for making this decision. He is either good enough to play or he is not. If he is, then he should be called up, and he should get to play.

Okay I'm torn...can we vote both AHL and NHL? Well I went AHL and they will recall him as their 4th.

I think someone noted (probably Sureloss) that playoff games count towards the 9.

Have to bring Bennett up to CGY if/when his OHL season is over. I feel he's proven he was done with the OHL in the first place.

Can't beat the experience gained by being around the team in the most intense time of the season. Bring him to Calgary and if he works his way onto the ice.....even better.

honestly bring him up to the NHL so he can practice with the team. If injuries pop up only then slot him in.
I think this would drive Bennett mad and elevate his play to have Hartley's hand forced and put him in for a game.
But hey who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah I agree. If people are honestly worried about animosity from other players, imagine him showing up in ADK (where he knows no one because he was with the Flames all season) and taking time away from guys down there? Someone like Arnold or Reinhart (not sure about how the Cs are there) would likely not be please. Going to the Flames, they all know him and he had been practicing with them. Yes there would still be butthurt if he takes someone out, but this is the show. If you can't hold your spot over an 18 year old late call-up, you have bigger problems.
Either way, I personally don't care about hurt feelings from players potentially passed over. This is sports. It's what happens when teams are looking to ice the best team possible.

I'm glad that we sent him to the OHL for post injury conditioning, but seeing as how he has played there, I think bringing him straight to the NHL is warranted.
