KLIMCHUK & ROY:
Brandon dropped Game 1 to Edmonton on Thursday by a 4-1 score. Klimchuk had an assist on the Wheaties' lone goal.
In Game 2, Brandon responded with an 8-1 win. Klimchuk had no points. Roy had a goal and an assist.
The series is tied at one, with Game 3 going Sunday in Edmonton.
CARROLL:
Prince George took an early 2-0 lead into the first intermission, but Victoria came back with a 4 goal second and held on for a 5-3 win. Carroll had one assist.
Game 2 goes Saturday night in Victoria.
KANZIG:
Kootenay defeated the Hitmen 4-3 in Game 1. Kanzig had no points, but was a +1 in the loss.
Game 2 is Sunday afternoon at the Saddledome.
BENNETT:
Not a good start at all for the Frontenacs. They were outshot 42-18 and outscored 8-0 in Game 1 against North Bay. Bennett was a -4 in the game.
Game 2 is Sunday afternoon in North Bay.
SMITH:
The Generals defeated Peterborough by a 7-2 score. Smith had one goal and took 2 penalties.
Game 2 is Sunday in Oshawa.
McDONALD:
Charlottetown was outshot in Game 1 32-29, but had a massive 8 goal outburst in the second period to win 8-2. McDonald was named the game's third star.
Game 2 is Saturday afternoon in Sherbrooke.
