Worried. I really dont want to see the wheels fall off right before the finish line.
But not too worried. St. Louis was always going to be tough. There are still very winnable games ahead.

This season wouldn't be this season without some trials, and tribbles, and a come back in the making.
I like the comment above about playing with house money.

97 may be a lock but that means nothing if the Flames can't get 97 points. I realize you can't expect them to win every game but to get to 97 points the Flames have to take care of business and two losses in a row or more is not taking care of business as after every loss they have a game fewer to attain 96/97 points leaving them considerably less margin for error. Hoping that other teams collapse around them simply isn't a sound way to make the playoffs because even the Jets beat the Blues last week as they are taking care of business. It really looks like the Flames may need help from the Canucks which totally sucks.
All of that said. It really is house money and personally I feel them just missing the playoffs may leave them hungrier next season as opposed to having possibly a false sense of security that they made it.

Slightly worried just because it seems like the rest of the bubble teams win every game.

I'd be more worried if they lost to the Oilers last night, but they lost to a very very good team, not a huge deal. They have some games coming up that are winnable, if they lose some of them I'll be pretty concerned, but right now still the same as I felt yesterday.

All season my head disagreed with my heart. At this point, probably only because it's following a loss, they both tell me the flames are out. There's certainly lots of reasons to think they're in, and lots to think they're out. I'm not sure statistics good much comfort or pain anymore, as a guy feeling is probably as accurate

I am starting to get a little nervous now. The next games are against non playoff teams but they are all under performing teams. This makes me nervous. It sounds funny but I would like our chances better if we were on the road. Hopefully losing last night lights a big fire under their shorts. If we can keep pace those last two games vs LA and the Jets will be huge.

Very worried but will be very proud of the team even if they miss. Still think we make it but it is going to come down to a couple big games. This team is just clutch

Been a Flames fan long enough to know to not get my hopes up.
That's why I've never pegged them as a playoff team and have been more than pleasantly surprised all season long. When Gio went down I expected them to fall off the map...once again pleasantly surprised.
If they get a little x beside their name, clenching a spot, I will be beyond ecstatic. If they don't, well hell, it's been a great ride and I'm very proud of this team this season regardless.

Flames could wake up tomorrow in a playoff spot if Anaheim beats LA at home.
I'm not worried at all.

They go 5-0-1, slide into 2nd in the division for a night.....lose two games without getting a point and suddenly they are out.
It's beyond ridiculous with LA, Vancouver, Winnipeg and Minnesota winning all the time it seems. Winnipeg being the most frustrating, as they have their top two D men out and were about 5 ****ing minutes form losing their 3rd straight to one of the "top" teams in the East, and one boneheaded play leads to a 5 minute major against the Bolts, the Jets capitalize and suddenly have new life.
Anyways, gut tells me what it's been telling me all year, despite all the hard work and unbelievable resiliency, they'll probably end up falling short.

I just cannot see Winnipeg or SJ making the playoffs.
The Flames looked exhausted against COL and out-classed against STL.
I'll feel pretty confident if during these next 4 games, the Flames bank 7-8 points.

I don't care if the Flames exceeded expectations this year. Anything less than a playoff spot and I will be very disappointed.
I love this team.
The West is so competitive.
It seems like LA, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Minnesotta NEVER LOSE!
We need one of these teams to fall apart. Maybe a star player there can get into a fight with their GM.

I haven't ever really thought of them as a true playoff team. Even now I see them as essentially just overachieving bigtime. But why can't they do that for another few games? I mean I can't fathom how they are here in the first place so what the heck I can remain cool as they try and get back in.

This will come down to the last game or two of the season to see if the Flames, Jets or Kings will make it.

I'm calm.
Winnipeg will fall out. They have goaltending holes that will get exposed down the stretch. San Jose has fallen apart.

I'm not going to lie, I'm worried. I really did want this group to make the playoffs this year because they have played so hard and fought back so often. They truly do deserve it. Plus 5 out of 15 seasons in the playoffs is awful, so a playoff appearance even a short one would at least be a nice thing to experience.
But the logical part of me is seeing that after the initial streak post Giordano, things are starting to normalize, and this is a team that is missing it's center piece.
Unfortunately the Flames may be in position to end up as the best non playoff team in the league, and that's really awful. If there is any justice on this planet the Flames would either make the playoffs, or miraculously win the draft lottery this year.
Regardless of what happens, it was fun to actually care about hockey again. In the past 5 years I really had lost a lot of interest with it being a bad team that continued to make poor decisions. I was quite please to see the front office shakeup last year, but really couldn't be bothered to care about the actual games that much since they really meant nothing outside of some entertainment. This year though, the games started to mean something again, and to me that's what makes it fun to be a fan. That apathy of who cares that Oiler fans are currently experiencing, blah, that sucks, and that's why I'm pleased that the team has at least got this far and is still playing meaningful games.
