Well that was the suckiest, most boring game of the year. What a snoozefest.

They'll choke in the playoffs like they always do. They're the new Sharks

A lot of their own draft picks that have worked out nicely that are under friendly contracts. They're sitting pretty right now.

Tarasenko on a cheap ELC helps too. It took the Blues a lot of years to put their team together. They are solid though and look like they will be the Central Division winner.

Welcome to being thebnew CP Glencross, Mason Raymond!

Also, thanks to the Flames for sending out the option to purchase playoff tickets not 5 minutes after a 4-0 loss.

The Blues are a really good hockey team. Didn't feel the Flames played a bad game, they just couldn't generate much against a team that just seemed to always be in excellent position.

4 straight games at home against non-playoff competition coming up. Still in good shape but they have to put a string of W's together.

Ugly game all around. I thought our top line struggled with the tight checking. Blues really suffocated the Flames in the third.

That was not great hockey. Every team that Hitchcock coached, from the Blue Jackets and the Stars, they're probably way better now than when he was there. Looks like he had 4 years in Philly as well. So, hopefully, the Blues will get knocked out early again this year and next year. Then, Hitchcock will get the boot from St Louis. Basically, his style will win a lot of regular season games with the neutral zone trap and forcing teams to play dump and chase. Hartley played right into that trap all night long.

The Blues seem like the best team that nobody talks about. The conversation is always about Anaheim, Nashville, Chicago, NY, even Montreal for gods sake.

That is one heck of a hockey team.

I still think we got a good chance. L.A is just starting out their tough away game segment while we get to play teams out of the playoff picture.

Let's assume we beat the teams below us in the standings (which is not guaruntee as the Avs and Stars are good teams) plus the Jets (who have not impressed me in our matchups so far)

Flyers W
CBJ W
Avs W
Stars W
Wild ???
Preds ???
Stars W
Blues ???
Oilers W
Coyotes W
Kings ???
Jets W

8 wins the rest of the way if we can just take care of business against those teams would mean 97 points. There's room for error assuming 95 gets you in.

...but I wouldn't mind some points in the other 4 games

Expected loss for me as I feel the Blues are Calgary's absolute worst match in the west. They are bigger, just as fast, much more physical and roll 4 lines just like Calgary. You just don't see many Blues players taking shifts off. Hitchcock has that team working hard just like Hartley has the Flames, only they are a very established, talented and deep squad.

Looking forward to Philly.

A night where having the captain would've helped. No slight against Engellend as of late but Gio-Brodie are so offensively active yet defensively responsible that it could've helped open things up.

Can we stop pretending we're invincible, cause that's the second pathetic loss in a row.
