Refs really turned the game in the Avs favour with that horrendous too many men call. Ugh. Flames didn't really help themselves with that brutal 2nd period. Ramo also could've had that Tanguay goal, O'Reilly goal and possibly the Mitchell goal(weak D on that one, though). Flames really put the pressure on late in the 3rd, though. Just couldn't find a way.
We got the Blues coming up, a tough game. Would've been nice to get a W or a point out of this one.

You can't pin that one on Ramo. There was one goal that was his fault, but he made some saves for us today. We were just out played except that last 5 minutes.

Guess Hiller gets the next start. Damn I wish one of them would be able to step up their game for more than a week or two stretch and really claim that #1 spot, having to swap who starts because one has a weak game is getting old
Flames took over the last 3/4 of that third. Bouma on his stick for the tie with 8 seconds to go.
Some garbage calls at the line, a fluke by Tanguay, Brodie getting exposed on a play (and another fluke shot for Mitchell, TBH), and that's that.
But as dominant as that was (fitness, momentum, whatever, Colorado I don't think had possession the Flames zone the last 6 minutes) by the Flames, not going to be able to turn it on and get all the bounces at the end every game.
Worst officiating I've seen in a while, and that goes both ways, but it affected us more.
Horribad ice at the Pepsi Center. Makes the Panthers ice look amazing.
Give the Avs credit. They played a really strong game, and they defended well with a lot of stick checks. However, they had plenty of stick fouls that should have been called.
Flames looked tired, but still found a way to make this interesting.
Oh well, I knew this was going to be rough. Crazy travel all the way to Colorado after playing last night. That doesn't happen often anymore.

The Flames defense cost us that game. If TJ Brodie doesn't lose his guy twice (I think ROR blew past him for the 2nd goal) then the Avs don't score the 2nd and 3rd goals.
They can't be expected to play a full month and a half of 30 minute hockey and not get fatigued.

Such crap, Flames fighting hard the entire game, 2nd period could have been better but the freewheeling and terrible refing didn't help, awful too many men and then basically a Penalty kill on the second asv goal as Jooris is taken out by the ref! Like everyone's saying good thing LA lost but still shoulda been a better outcome for us.
Se La Vie bring it back into the next one, we can do this the heart of flames burns in everyone and we won't be held back from the PO's we deserve!
