Also how do the categories work? I usually do my pools on ESPN, so I am just trying to get a grasp on this one.

It's head to head. As long as you perform better in that category than your opponent during the week, you get one point. Team with most points wins that week.

We are doing Head to Head. Which is the rules below.

Head-to-Head
Each week, you'll battle a new opponent from your league in a series of "games" to see who can accumulate the most points in certain stat categories.
You'll play one "game" per stat category, so if your league uses 10 different categories, you'll play 10 "games" against the same opponent.
To win a "game," accumulate a higher total than your opponent in the given category (if you end up with the same total, you'll each earn a "tie" for that game).
At the end of the week, your record will reflect how well your team performed in each of the games.
For example, say you out-performed your opponent in 6 out of 10 categories and tied in another -- your record for the week would be 6-3-1, their record would be 3-6-1.
Over the course of the season, your weekly win-loss total will be added to a cumulative season record, and the teams with the best records at the end of the season will compete in the league playoffs.

I usually start strong but run into injury problems. Every year my Closers have problems.
