How can a couple of our best free agent signings and the top one ever on the list been done by Feaster? I love the irony on how quick he got the shoved out the door and his players / trades are mostly carrying the team.

Burke doing the same as with the Ducks and going to get the credit for a final few changes at the end?

Well, Burke's not the GM, so...

No Jonas Hiller on the list?

Good list, but yes please remove Tony Amonte from my memory. I'd agree with Hiller to replace him.

Hopefully it earns him a job elsewhere but so glad he is gone. Still botched several trades, and made the team a laughing stock for a short period. Also he was a huge reason Sven was mishandled by the organization. Having said that Johnny, and Monahan we drafted by him and our solid prospect pool has quite a few promising players added under his watch. Hiring Hartley looks like his best move to date

No doubt he had to go and the organization is better off without him

I'm... not really arguing anything though. Just pointing out that hindsight ALWAYS makes some people look like fools and others look like geniuses, no matter what the situation.

I bet if you looked at most teams ufa signings there are few home runs. Most teams overpay, particularly teams like Calgary.
Put me down for a vote for the boogie man. Great signing

Treliving hasn't even been GM for a year. Sutter hasn't been the GM in 5 years. Obviously a good portion of the team is from Feaster. I don't think anyone could argue the team is even close to having the same success without these guys who were not aquired by Feaster though...

Giordano
Brodie
Hiller
Bouma
Backlund

Had Boughner and McCarty on the list ... didn't graduate them. Tim Jackman as well.

Left out Raymond, Engellend and Hiller as they are only 75% through 1 season.

If the thing was wide open I think Giordano and Otto would be 1/2 or 2/1

Too bad Owen Nolan wasn't here longer. He was a good UFA signing.

The fact that the Flames even have an article/debate about this speaks volumes of the success they have had on the UFA market.

There have been some 'not great' signings, but the good outweighs the bad IMO.
