Should be noted:

Roger Millions @RogMillions
If indeed retroactive to Wed. Giordano could play in Boston Thurs. #Flames

but I doubt it if he is being sent back to Calgary.

I've seen the "returned to Calgary" part on Twitter - but haven't seen any official confirmation of that. Did I miss something or is/was it speculation that the IR will be longer than the minimum length?

Management isn't going to make sweeping changes just to make the playoffs this year

Sean Kelso works for the Flames PR department if he says he has been sent back to Calgary it is official.

They played pretty well in Long Island; I think there are some winnable games here even without Gio, so long as the uptempo effort continues. You don't replace Gio, so, just get out there and work a little harder for each other! Go Flames Go!

Sucks, but the flames will be fine. Gio's norris/hart chance take a hit though.
