Could be a decent deal for both teams. Sure doesn't hurt the Coyotes much in the long run.

Good return for Arizona . Not sure why Vermette is worth so much but maybe that's just me.

Quite the deal for a 45 point centre.
Though he'll probably be more than that on Chicago.

Baffled that Vermette can actually get a first rounder in return for him. Good trade for Arizona.

Its another first off the market and another team off the list

It was a shot in the dark. He was wrong anyway, since he hadn't been traded at that time.

Does Vermette play wing as well? As a replacement for Kane I mean.

Or he guessed. Been put out there a while Vermette to Chicago was a strong possibility.

First round pick and a prospect for a guy with 35 points. . . .

A 1st round pick for a forward? Impossible!
Good return for Arizona.
IMO, the combination of Kane and the alleged dressing room turmoil will mean no cup for the Hawks this year. SO a wasted trade and a lost 1st rounder.
Clear win for the Yotes IMO

Wish the market was like this last year.

If I throw out a total random guess on Trivia Crack, whether or not I knew the answer doesn't matter if I got the answer right. He may have (or completely) guessed, but it doesn't make him less right.

Wow talk about overpayment. Chicago is desperate to win this season. Next season they'll start getting rid of high contract again.

Well this gives me hope that we can still get a second rounder for glencross at least. Huge overpayment for a pretty marginal player by the Hawks.

I would have preferred more help on D, than a forward...Dahlbeck and a low 1st seems a lot to just rent a UFA...

Remember when all the "experts" were telling us that nobody will trade first round picks this season?

It is a seller's market right now that's why they get a first rounder and a young D. If this trade happens in the offseason or not before the trade deadline, I'll say they might get a 2nd rounder at best.
